Sabino Canyon Sunset Run
one of the most iconic races in Southern Arizona! Sabino Canyon located in the Coronado National Forest, is one of the most beautiful desert canyons in the American southwest and a true jewel of the Tucson community. This unique 7.4 mile race is designed to capitalize on the majestic nature of Sabino Canyon to provide a unique opportunity to experience the challenges of a great race in a truly magnificent setting. This race is part of The Running Shop SAR Grand Prix. Date and Time The evening of April 14, 2018. Early start time (5:15PM) for 7.4 mile walkers/joggers. This start is for entrants aged 60 and above, and any entrants who need more time to finish before nightfall. Entrants under 60 years of age who opt for the Early Start will not be eligible for age-group prizes or Grand Prix points. All entrants remain eligible for raffle prizes. Main race, 7.4 miles (5:45PM) Sunset is at 6:55 PM. Aid stations and finish line will be picked up 105 minutes after the start. If you plan to be out there longer be aware you’ll be on your own. Carry a flashlight! Race Awards Awards ceremony will follow the race at approximately 7:30pm. Awards to the top 3 overall and top masters male and female finishers and the top 3 male and female finishers in five year age groups.
